Delia Giselle Reeves, MS ALC
Under the Supervision of Jay Byham LPC-S
Associate Licensed Counselor
I am an experienced therapist at Vallis Mental Health specializing in treating clients with depression, anxiety, past trauma, LGBTQ issues, low self-esteem, and suicide concerns. I mainly see primary teens and young adults and enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families.
I am an Associate Licensed Counselor under the Supervision of Jay Byham LPC-S. I attended the University of North Alabama and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology before going on to pursue a Master of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology at Alabama A&M University.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing psychotherapy (EMDR); this is an interactive approach I use in helping clients with various degrees of trauma. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with a variety of counseling theories and techniques that help clients identify problematic thought patterns that influence how we feel and behave. I believe in tailoring treatment to empower clients to manage life’s most challenging experiences. I believe in a relaxed counseling environment that allows clients to feel comfortable, promoting a healthy therapeutic relationship.
