Mental Health Counselor (Part-time)

Practice Description:

 

The mission of Vallis Mental Health is to offer services that assist individuals in identifying concerns and achieving goals by utilizing a philosophy of compassion, respect, and acceptance. The goal of our practice is to provide aspirational patient care and customer service while simultaneously assisting our clinicians to earn a competitive income and maintain a healthy work-life balance. We strive to provide exceptional support and administrative staff to alleviate non-clinical tasks so clinicians can prioritize therapeutic intervention efforts.

 

Job Description:

  • Mental Health Counselor (LPC, LICSW, LMFT)

    • 1099 contractor

 

Applicant Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field

  • Alabama License (LPC, LICSW, or LMFT)

    • Individuals who have submitted an application for independent licensure will be considered

  • Insurance paneled or insurance eligible

​​Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychotherapy and psychometric services to adults, adolescents, and children

  • Provide individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy sessions

  • Provide both in-person and telehealth services

  • Manage patient documentation

  • Maintain licensure and certifications

  • Attend staff meetings (optional)

 

Employer-Provided Support Services

  • Robust support staff

  • Administrative and managerial staff are responsible for the following:

    • Clinician credentialing

    • Billing/fee collection

    • Insurance claims

    • Patient enrollment

    • External office communication

    • Patient calls and scheduling

    • Patient referrals

    • Marketing efforts

    • Caseload management

    • Patient file organization

 

Schedule:

•    Part-time- 2-3 days (10-20 hours) in-office psychotherapy 
•    Contractor position (1099 income)
•    Competitive compensation based on contractor’s chosen caseload
