Hi, I’m Rana Mayes, and I am here to help you along your life’s journey. It seems life is getting harder for all of us. I know life can be tough, and I do not profess to have all the answers. I enjoy helping empower children, teens, and adults to become the best versions of themselves by working through obstacles, such as past trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship problems together. I am a U.S. Army Veteran who humbly chose to follow my calling to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. It is my honor and a privilege to help people through uncertain and challenging times.  I provide my patients with a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental safe space to heal and grow.

I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional who specializes in trauma-focused and grief therapeutic interventions. I utilize various evidence-based interventions that best fit the specific needs of my patients. I am a Certified SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) Facilitator, and I utilize this system for premarital counseling and in assessing and strengthening existing relationships.  One of my greatest strengths is my ability to connect and relate to people from various backgrounds. I am a highly empathetic Counselor who will listen to you and encourage you. I am here to support you during the low times and to cheer for you during the high moments of your life.
