Daphne Ragland, EdS LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

I am a licensed professional counselor at Vallis Mental Health, offering therapy for adolescents and adults. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Social Work, a Master’s in Counseling, and an Education Specialist from Jacksonville State University. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. I have counseling experience within residential, acute inpatient, and outpatient settings.

My focus is to personalize the counseling approach; this will include diverse therapeutic interventions to meet the patient at their level and collaboratively generate maximized potential. I am a counselor because I truly believe in the quote “mind over matter” (by Sir Charles Lyell). I think the enhancing of one’s psychological processes can be a powerful tool for productivity.

These factors intensified my interest in wanting to promote this concept on a continuous basis, and I was fortunate enough to make this my career. Counseling can be rewarding in so many ways, and I truly enjoy sharing these rewards with patients in the counseling process.
