Nikki Mott, MS ALC

Associate Licensed Counselor
Under the Supervision of Brooke Nelson Murphy, MS, LPC-S

Hi, I’m Nikki Mott, an Associate Licensed Counselor with an integrative approach to therapy. I hold a B.A. in Communication Studies from Northeastern University and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I’m currently pursuing my Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville State University  because growing as a clinician is important to me and let’s be honest, I’ve never been great at sitting still when there’s more to learn.

At the core of my work is the belief that you are the expert in your own life. My approach is person-centered, meaning I’m here to listen without judgment and walk alongside you, not to give you all the answers or try to "fix" you. You’re not broken. I also integrate evidence-based modalities like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Feminist Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model; therapy with me is more like a custom playlist than a greatest hits album, built around what you need most.

I’ve worked with a wide range of individuals dealing with anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, burnout, and the general chaos of being a human. My style is warm, collaborative, and occasionally humorous, because sometimes, laughter really is the best coping skill. I believe therapy can be meaningful and challenging, but it should also feel human. Whether you're feeling stuck, stretched thin, or like you're carrying everyone else’s baggage and forgetting your own, I offer a space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most to you.

If you’re ready to start that journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
